Driver Hassan picked us up at exactly 8 am, knew every shortcut around the Marrakech roadworks, and got us to Aït Benhaddou by lunch. Camp at Erg Chebbi had hot showers and no Wi-Fi spam at dinner — perfect. $189 trip, no surprise fees.

Booked direct after comparing four operators. Saved about £150 vs the OTA quote for the same tour. Guide Younes was Berber from Tinghir and explained the Todra Gorge geology in detail. Camel trek was 75 minutes — long enough, not gimmicky.

7 day Morocco desert tour from Marrakech. Loved the Day 4 sunrise camel ride out of the dunes. Operator handled my dietary restrictions (no gluten) at every meal including the camp. Will book again with my mother.

Winter tour, Sahara nights got down to 3°C. Camp was prepared with extra blankets and a brazier. Daytime was 19°C, comfortable. Photos in winter light were unreal. Total $329, on-budget.

Solo female traveller, age 31. Felt safe the entire time. Joined a small group of 6, all friendly. Riad pickup was on time. Berber dinner at the camp included tagine and three salads — better than any restaurant in Marrakech.

Anniversary trip, splurged on the luxury Sahara camp upgrade. Private en-suite tent with copper bath, ridiculous in the best way. Driver Brahim was 14 years on the job. 4.9 stars from us — only 0.1 docked because the airport pickup was 10 min late.

Flew into Casablanca, took the high-speed train to Marrakech — operator coordinated the pickup at Marrakech station perfectly. 6-day tour was the right length. Erg Chebbi sunrise camel ride was the highlight of the year.

Travelled with two kids (8 and 11). Camel trek replaced with a 4×4 transfer to camp at no extra charge. Kids slept in the dunes after dinner — best night of their lives. Operator was patient with all the family logistics.

August is hot — 42°C in Merzouga at 3pm. Camel trek was pushed to 5am sunrise on Day 2 instead of evening, smart move. Operator clearly recommends spring/autumn but I took the cheap dates and survived. Camp had A/C in the dining tent.

Booked private (just my partner and me) for $1,490 over 7 days. Worth every penny — fully bespoke pace, no early starts, two nights in the camp instead of one. Driver-guide Said spoke flawless English and was a former history teacher.

Fes Morocco desert tour — exactly what we needed. We flew Tokyo → Doha → Fes. Guide picked us up at Fes airport, finished tour in Marrakech 5 days later. English-speaking guide was clear and slow when we asked.

July traveller — yes hot, but the operator delivers what they promise: dawn camel, midday rest, sunset photography. Camp had cold beverages waiting on arrival. 5 stars and I have done desert tours in Namibia, Mongolia, and the UAE for comparison.

French speaker — asked for French-speaking guide and got Mehdi who was perfect. Stops at Aït Benhaddou and Skoura palmeraie were not rushed. Lunch on Day 2 was in a Berber family home, unannounced bonus.

Solid tour, fair price. Day 1 Marrakech → Dadès was long (8 hours with stops) but the operator does not hide that. Sahara camp was as advertised. Only minor: lunch on Day 2 was at a tourist-focused restaurant — would have preferred a more local spot.

Best Morocco desert tour I have read about and now done. Camel trek into Erg Chebbi at sunset was on a separate dune from other groups — operator clearly times their treks to avoid crowds. Photos turned out unreal.

Honeymoon. Booked the luxury 8-day tour for $1,290pp. Riads in Marrakech and Fes were 5-star. Sahara camp had a private rooftop deck per tent. Driver Mohammed brought us a bottle of Moroccan wine at sunset — small touch, big memory.

Group tour, 8 of us, mix of nationalities. Group dynamic was great because the guide kept things moving. Camp at Erg Chebbi was the highlight — nights were warm enough to sit outside until midnight in September.

December tour, Sahara nights were cold (near freezing) but the camp was prepared. Day 3 had Atlas snow on Tizi n’Tichka pass — extra 30 minutes drive but the views were worth it. Christmas-period pricing was reasonable.

Private 5-day tour for our group of 4. Driver Hicham was outstanding — knew every cafe owner along the route. Camp upgrade to luxury was 220 CHF pp extra and worth it for the en-suite bathroom.

Family of 5. Operator arranged Halal meals at every stop without a fuss. Camel guide was Berber and spoke some Arabic, which helped. Erg Chebbi at dawn during Ramadan was unforgettable. Pre-iftar tagine at the camp was outstanding.
